What happened to the old Friendship House?
In early 2013 the former owners of Friendship House unfortunately had to declare bankruptcy. They closed their Ohio offices and ceased all operations.
How did you come to have the Friendship House name?
The two companies have always had similar products and customers, in fact you may well have shopped at both companies in the past. Once the bankruptcy was finalized we were approached by the creditor with an offer to aquire the brand.
What about my old account/order/return/credit?
Our apologies, but if you had an outstanding issue with Friendship House prior to bankruptcy, we are not able to address that for you.
Can I use my old account information?
We have very limited old customer information. You will need to create a new account on TheMusicStand.com. We do not have any prior account details or order history.
What happened to Golden Note Club membership?
Our apologies, but are not able to continue this program. We do offer low flat-rate shipping, and have a rewards program that allows you to acquire and redeem points with every order.
I used to buy such-and-such product, where is it?
You will find we carry many products that you used to buy from Friendship House, but not all. We are working to reestablish many more. Note that our product numbers do not match Friendship House's old numbers. If you cannot find a product after searching this website, please get in touch with us, we may be able to assist you.
What does the change mean to me?
If you've never shopped with The Music Stand before, we'd love to gain your future business and trust. We try to offer a diverse, unique and fun selection of products to suit all musicians, music students, and music lovers. While our music education offering is smaller, we're working to build it back up, and you'll find our selection of music gifts is much broader. We send out featured-item catalogs several times a year. We offer flat-rate shipping (to the lower 48), and regularly run promotions through our email newsletter. Be sure to sign up.
